Supporting green entrepreneurs >> Social Enterprise
March 22 2007
AN initiative to support ‘green entrepreneurs’ is being launched in London next month.
The Enviro-Entrepreneur School aims to identify, encourage and nurture people who wish to start and grow a business in the environmental goods and services sector and who have a passion for recycling and a belief in the importance of environmental technologies.
The school offers a three-day intensive programme delivered by seasoned entrepreneurs, business consultants and environmentalists
While the school is open to all sectors it is being particularly targeted at arts, engineering and creative industry graduates who want to make or design something using recycled and recyclable materials as well as business specialists who want to develop a sustainable business. The school aims to bridge the gap between designers who understand how to use and add value to exciting new recycled and recyclable materials and the world of marketing and manufacturing.
The School will take you through the process of starting and growing a business and provide you, the entrepreneur with the business and commercial skills that will help you lay the foundations for a successful launch and growth of your business.
Up to 30 potential entrepreneurs will be selected for the school and those with the highest chance of success will be able to benefit from going onto the enhance programme.
The School will run from April 2nd to 4th and will be hosted by the London Imperial College. Participation costs just £50 for the three days and further details are available from Amanda Edwards at amanda@qedconsulting.co.uk
