OMSCo appoints new chief operating officer as it works to boost exports

The organic dairy co-op says Iain Roebuck will help it grow diverse added-value markets

The Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (OMSCo) has appointed Iain Roebuck as chief operating officer.

Mr Roebuck has 19 years experience in the dairy industry, having previously held both commercial and supply chain positions at Danone Early Life Nutrition.

OMSCo says his appointment is “an important addition” to its team as it works to grow diverse added-value markets.

“Iain brings vast supply chain and commercial experience to OMSCo,” said the co-op in a statement. “His broad experience across UK and global markets, including China, will enable him to support OMSCo’s development of both domestic and international product and ingredient markets.”

Mr Roebuck said: “I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience of working in the dairy and infant milk formula market to OMSCo, to strengthen the business with key customers in the UK, while also continuing the development of export and ingredient opportunities.

“OMSCo is on an exciting journey, with a number of successful partnerships to date and the supply potential to develop more. The business has a strong mission and a clear sense of purpose and I’m looking forward to playing my part in the next phase of its success.”

OMSCo’s managing director, Richard Hampton, added: “Our aspiration is for over 30% of OMSCo’s revenue to come from export markets and co-operation and collaboration are key to ensuring the future of our business.

“Iain’s wide-ranging experience in ensuring a smooth collaborative supply chain and his knowledge of building successful product portfolios will be a significant contributor to the continued success of our co-operative.”
