Applications open for International Credit Union Development Educators class of 2024

The cohort will be recognised at the 2024 World Credit Union Conference in Boston, USA

The Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) and World Council of Credit Unions (Woccu) are inviting applications from regional and national credit union development educators (Cudes) interested in obtaining the International Credit Union Development Educators (Icude) designation.

The Icude programme is designed to provide credit union employees and volunteers with a greater understanding of the international credit union system and opportunities for continued engagement. It is open to development educators who have graduated from their home country or regional Icude programme via one of seven national or regional DE programmes, including:

Applicants must also complete another DE programme outside of their home country/region, complete at least one independent study project that aligns with the learning objectives of the programme, and attend a World Credit Union Conference or another significant credit union/co-op event outside of their home country or region.

The Icude class of 2024 will be recognised at the 2024 World Credit Union Conference in Boston, USA. The event is being co-hosted by World Council of Credit Unions and America’s Credit Unions from July 21-24.

Development educator programme directors, Icude designees and the wider DE network will be invited to attend this event to recognise the new ICUDEs.

Applications, which are due by 12 April, will be reviewed by the applicant’s national or regional Icude programme director, and forwarded to Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions for selection.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for credit union development educators who want to take the next step into the international arena and engage with peers from around the world who are working to solve problems for their credit unions and communities in new and innovative ways,” said Mike Reuter, executive director of WFCU.

“We can’t wait to select the Icude class of 2024 and introduce them to the world this summer.”

More information and the application form can be found here. All applications are due by April 12.
