Econature – a range of sustainable stationery – has been launched by the Central England Co-op.
The retail society says it is packaged “with minimal ecological and environmental impact on the world”.
The wood and paper products are made from sustainable sources, it adds, with the brand eventually aiming to make the items completely from recycled or sustainable materials.
The products have little or no packaging and if they do they are made out or recyclable and plastic-free materials.
Corporate responsibility manager Hannah Gallimore said: “This new range allows our customers to get creative and crafty all while ensuring they are being environmentally responsible.”
The launch of the new range come at the same time as the retailer is running its Summer Support for Kids campaign.
The three-month effort to support children in poverty is urging people to donate food in special store collection points to ensure local food banks can create parcels so they do not go hungry.
Central England is also asking for items such as stationery to be donated to help keep children educated and entertained during the pandemic.
