North-east London community food project, OrganicLea, is looking for new co-op members for its training and education, engagement and outreach work.
The workers’ co-operative – which produces and distributes food and plants locally, and encourages others to do the same – wants to add to its membership to support its work within communities.
The co-op works to inspire people through growing food; engage with diverse and hard-to-reach communities; improve health and well-being; support multi-generational skills development; and enhance community cohesion.
The team is looking for people with a strong ability to spot and seize opportunities, as well as a range of skills in a number of different areas including project coordination, community partnership work, education and training.
Keen to fit jobs to people rather than the other way round, OrganicLea wants to hear from people who can shape specific roles around their particular skills.
Those interested in applying to become member should download and read the responsibility descriptions and person specifications – and consider which area of work is the most suitable for their skills and experience.
The co-op is asking people to submit their CVs, with a letter of application stating which areas of work they are interested in and why; how they feel they can contribute to OrganicLea, and how they meet the person specifications.
