Nominees interested in running for the five available seats on the 2020 NCBA Clusa board of directors have until 14 February to submit their name.
Those looking to stand should complete and submit the nomination form along with the requested supplemental material to the Nominating Committee by the deadline. This information to be forwarded to the Nominating Committee via Sherry Goss at sgoss@ncbaclusa.coop.
An NCBA Clusa board-appointed nominating committee, composed of members of the NCBA CLUSA board of directors, will review all nominations to verify the candidates’ eligibility per the organisation’s bylaws.
To be eligible for election, a candidate must be either an individual member of NCBA Clusa, the sector body for US co-ops, or a director or an employee of a co-operative or associate member in good standing.
Nominees will be notified by March 3, 2020 of the status of their candidacy.
Per the NCBA Clusa bylaws, the nominating committee shall nominate at least two candidates more than the number of open positions, and by 3 March 3, will present to the membership a slate of no fewer than seven candidates.
The slated candidates’ biographical sketches, candidate statements and photographs will be published on the NCBA Clusa website and in Co-op Weekly. This information will also be posted in the online election system administered by Simply Voting.
The online election opens on 11 March and closes on 22 April; during this period, NCBA Clusa members in good standing will be able to cast their votes. The results will be announced at NCBA Clusa’s annual business meeting on 5 May in Washington, DC, during Co-op Week.
