Union Coop, the largest consumer co-operative in UAE, has launched an online shopping site offering a wide range of household and electronics goods from international brands.
Marketing director Suhail Al Bastaki said the retailer had the www.unioncoop.ae website to keep up with retail trends and to offer convenient, quality service at competitive prices.
The website, which is currently available in English and will soon be available in Arabic, sells mobile technology, cameras, home entertainment and household appliances.
“Online shopping has many conveniences,” Mr Al Bastaki added. “A person can go online whenever and wherever it suits them, allowing them to get extra information, compare prices, and other positive points.”
Union Coop intends to add food and a wider range of non-food products in the future, he added.
The retailer’s Tamayaz loyalty scheme will apply online, alongside exclusive promotions which will run on the website and a pre-booking service for new launches from popular brands.
“With the launch of the online shopping channel, now customers from other Emirates can register and shop items which will be promptly delivered to their choice of destination,” said Mr Al Bastaki.
